Hayley is a Yoga Sports Scientist with a background in movement science, specializing in biomechanics, with 30 years of yoga teaching experience. She has worked with athletes and sports professionals all over the world, from junior to elite level. During that time she created Yoga Sports Science® (YSS), developing a unique scientific methodology that successfully applies yoga within athletic environments. Through the Institute of Yoga Sports Science® and its professional teacher training courses, Hayley and her team bridge the gap between yoga and sport. Hayley, and her colleague, Annelize Ferreira, co-founded the School of Yoga Sequencing.

Maggie is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education at Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia. She supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research within the Faculty of Health at UEA, and her expertise in research and clinical education underpins the research curriculum within Yoga Sports Science®.

Annelize is an Advanced Yoga Sports Coach™ and the Consultant Physiotherapist for the Institute of Yoga Sports Science®. As a YSS Senior Tutor, she brings extensive expertise from both her work within YSS and her career as a Chartered Physiotherapist. She holds a Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Medicine and has extensive experience in neuro-musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, and first-contact care through her work with the Ministry of Defence and in private practice. Together with Hayley, she co-founded the School of Yoga Sequencing.

Anthea is an Advanced Yoga Sports Coach™ and Head of Academic Faculty at YSS. As a senior tutor, she guides the next generations of Yoga Sports Coaches™ through to graduation and into the world of sport. She brings deep expertise from her work within Yoga Sports Science® and as a highly qualified yoga teacher. Her background includes body reading, postural analysis, and Level 5 Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy.

Bonnie is an Advanced Yoga Sports Coach™ and senior tutor for YSS. She brings YSS students and graduates a wealth of knowledge from over 20 years in the fitness industry, as well as her experience as a competitive athlete.

Lisa is an Advanced Yoga Sports Coach™ and a senior tutor with YSS. She brings extensive experience as a qualified yoga teacher (E-RYT 200) and a background as a British Gymnastics Women’s Artistic Coach.

Leon is an Olympic medalist who trained at the highest level for 22 years. He offers invaluable insight from the athlete’s perspective, both on the demands of high-performance sport and on the realities of training at that level. As both a practitioner and teacher of yoga, Leon understands how yoga can be integrated into an athlete’s schedule to help prevent injury and enhance performance.

Tim is a former GB Olympian (javelin and bobsleigh) and one of the UK’s most respected high-performance coaches and directors. He worked with Hayley at the inception of Yoga Sports Science®, and his extensive knowledge and expertise helped shape the development of the YSS courses.

Emily is an Advanced Yoga Sports Coach. She earned a PhD in Educational Leadership, Research, and Policy at UCCS. She is Assistant Teaching Professor of Health Science, at University Colorado Springs.

Vedant is a former professional sportsperson, having played national-level cricket in India, and is also a qualified yoga teacher. As a senior YSS tutor, he brings a distinct perspective by combining his experience as a professional athlete with his expertise in yoga and sports-specific yoga.
