Yoga for Athletes - Foundation Course

This Course is delivered to you by Hayley Winter and the YSS Team, the global leaders in providing a world-class sports-specific yoga education.

This course is ideal for Personal Trainers, Massage Therapists, Body Workers, Strength & Conditioning coaches, Athletes, and Yoga Instructors looking to gain knowledge advance their skill set through the practical application of sport-specific yoga. 

This is the only course of its kind. Discover how to apply the science of yoga in sport.

You will be covering material that is not available in other teacher training courses.

Course Format:

Online trainingStudents explore the course syllabus online in advance (one month) of the LIVE training. It includes contact with the YSS tutors and a chance to get to know your peers before the live event. (approximately 24 hours) Students will continue to have access to the online classroom for 3 months post LIVE training with the option to upgrade to lifetime access.

2-day live trainingThe online component will be reinforced in a LIVE setting where you will demonstrate an initial understanding of the YSS approach by preparing and delivering a Micro-Sequence based on your own specific athletic or performance needs. 

In this course you will:

  • Discover how to enhance athletic performance and prevent injury through implementing a sport-specific yoga program.
  • Create your own micro-sequence for athletic/personal /professional needs.

  • Discover how breathing techniques can enhance daily living and the role they play in sports.

  • Develop a practical working understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and neuroscience through the application of sport-specific yoga.
