Hayley Winter, Founder of The Institute of Yoga Sports ScienceÂŽ
Hayley has been specializing in sportâspecific yoga and teaching yoga for athletes for over two decades. Yoga Sports Science began in 2001, when she first started integrating yoga into football environments.
In 2005, Sir Clive Woodward brought Hayley into the medical team at Southampton Football Club. It was during this time that she began working with Gareth Bale and the squad, developing footballâspecific yoga to support performance, recovery and injury prevention.
Her work in sportâspecific yoga has since been featured on the Olympic Channel, highlighting the role of evidenceâbased yoga in athletic performance.
Hayley is coâfounder of the School of Yoga Sequencing and now teaches and mentors yoga teachers around the world, helping them apply movement science to support the art of sequencing. The 40âhour Yoga for Athletes course distills her experience into a structured, practical training you can apply with footballers and other athletic populations.
