HOW THE MODULE IS DELIVERED TO YOU

Module Dates:
Start: Saturday, November 16th, 2024
End: Saturday, January 25th, 2025

You'll have an additional 3 months after the course ends to review and enjoy the material at your leisure. Plus, there's a 3-week break over the holidays to give you time to recharge.

Course Structure:
Every week, new course material will be automatically released, guiding you through the syllabus step by step over a 3-month period.

Learn at Your Own Pace:
You can choose to follow the weekly course structure or take your time and study at your own pace. From the module start date, you’ll have 6 months to complete your studies.

Study from Home:
This course is 100% online, with four live, interactive sessions led by Hayley. Don’t worry if you can’t attend a session—everything is recorded for you to access later. You'll have 24/7 access to all the material, so you can study whenever it suits you best.

MEET HAYLEY

Hayley Winter (BWY Dip, ERYT-500, YACEP, SYT) is the founder of the Institute of Yoga Sports ScienceÂŽ (YSS). For almost 30 years, she has worked as a yoga educator and Yoga Sports Scientist. Hayley specializes in sports-specific yoga, biomechanics, movement science, and provides continuing education and advanced yoga teacher training. She blends art (Animation degree) and science (Masters education in Sports and Exercise Biomechanics) into all of her courses.

In 2009, following the global economic downturn, Hayley transitioned her teaching to an online platform, becoming a pioneer in online yoga education.

In 2010, alongside Dr. Maggie Bunting, she developed a research method for yoga teachers to collect and interpret data from athletes of all ages and abilities. Over seven years, YSS conducted extensive case study research to understand yoga's impact on athletic performance, making a significant contribution to the field, and to the efficacy of yoga in sport.

Hayley is the author of the Yoga Sports Science syllabus and course publications. She also co-created "The Yoga Sequencing Solution" online course, and co-authored "The Yoga Sequencing Playbook" with her colleague Annelize Ferreira, consultant physiotherapist at YSS.

She is a passionate advocate for empowering yoga teachers with the scientific principles of yoga, helping them apply yoga to athletes, bridging the gap between the ancient art of yoga and modern exercise science.

Some parts of this course were filmed at St Mary's University in London. Hayley was joined by YSS faculty members Bonnie Strati and Anthea Sweet.
